I thought it was just puppy love.
But t’was not.
He’s a little too complicated.
But I can just turn him around.
He’s mysterious.
But I can figure and solve him in a heartbeat.

Yes, I am in love.
I LOVE YOU RUBIX CUBE!

It has been 2 weeks and counting since this addiction started.
Bought 3 cubes and 2 of them are broken already.
Hahaha

Hi Hun,

Earlier today, I decided to have my hair colored grey. I was so excited because this is really different from my usual style. Quite deviant from normal.

So there I was, after taking a bath, went to Bench Fix at Glorietta 4. Waited for a minute or so then I was accomodated. Hair color for short hair is Php 1,400. Expensive eh? For my really short hair, I think it is. Well, I just wanna try so whatever, I still continued.

I was informed by Amy, the hairstylist that they need to bleach my hair first so that we can “ACHIEVE” (the term he used) the color we want to have. I trusted him, well, he’s the expert anyways. After experiencing the staggering 25 minutes of heat under the steamer (not to mention the bleach that burns my scalp), my hair was rinsed. To my dismay, I was informed that they still need to do another round of bleaching. In short, another round of suffering. I am already sweating like a pig during the second round. But the hell, I dont care, I want this.

After another 25 minutes, I looked like a newborn chick. With yellow hair and all that.

Well, not exactly like him, but the hair has resemblance. Hahaha

After that, they rinsed my hair again and then applied the grey solution. This time, I felt my body shaking. My scalp burned like hell. Like hell. I severed that for another 20 minutes. My mindset is that I am like one of the ANTM contestants on a make-over, but I cant take out the fact that my scalp is still BURNING SH*T.

After 2-hours-and-so-minute, here is the finished product:

(with Revo)

UPDATE: Since I feel that my hair is not colored properly, I had it fixed @ Ystilo Salon in Pasong Tamo. Deym did they rocked my do up! Salute to you Juris! You’re the best hair stylist! EVER!

Hey love!

Im back.
Sorry if it took me quite some time to get back to you and to keep you posted about what’s going on with my life.
I miss writing. So much.
In fact when I went a week ago to DLSU-Manila, i passed by the Graduate School Admission and asked if they are offering a Graduate course for writing. Guess what, they do! Well, their website says otherwise. I might enroll on the third term early next year because my schedule this coming months will not allow me to have more things in my hands. So there, schedule moved. =)

Anyhoo, good news! Based on my latest weigh-in, I lost 3 pounds. =) Effect of the eat-rice-just-when-you’re-really-craving-for-it scheme. Quite effective, I tell you. If you will ask what I am eating, well, I eat a potatoes. POTATOES are life savers. They are the fuel that keeps me going. Hahaha. kidding aside, well I’m eating potatoes in exchange with rice. Almost the same energy content, less carbs.

See:

You might not see much effect but it really worked.

Also today, just hours ago, I actually hosted an event for my account. I was one of the three belles (haha). I’m just gonna update this post if I already have the pictures of the event. (UPDATE: as promised, here are the pictures. Thanks to Sir Ben Yoro)

This is the venue without the guests:

The beautiful girls of VZB:

The buffet (and yes, that was me in the middle):

Some of the Management team:

The photobooth. (Thanks to Centerstage Management for the UNLIMITED pictures.)

And me together with my very beautiful lead, Ms Tet.

Right now, what I can just post are these photos that we took from the photobooth. clickclick!

BY THE WAY: Justin Bieber (aka YEY BUNGUBUNG) was also on the event. See for yourself:

and YES. I’m dancing AGAIN.

Just like what I posted on my previous blogsite, when I am depressed, most of the time, I do different things.
The last time I felt like this was when I was on my Junior year in college.
that time, I tried to have ear piercings. Then I decided to have a tattoo. But I’m afraid of the latter.
My mom would kill me if she sees me with extra hole on my face besides the normal holes on it.
Well, I still pushed my luck.

Going back. I AM DEPRESSED. So much. So So much!
I dont know what attacked me, but I decided to do this:

The last time I shaved my hair was like, decades back.
I dont miss my hair. I dont miss my hair.
I dont miss my hair. I DO NOT MISS MY HAIR.
okay, i miss my hair, A LITTLE.
But that’s it.

New look, New character.
=)

I feel like I am a caterpillar in a cocoon.
Wait til I come out.

I got this call from my mum just this afternoon.

I dont know if i’ll jump for joy or if i’ll be sad with the news she told me.
Turned out she already laid plans for me without me knowing.

This month, her workmate will be returning from Taipei and will be staying here for a month or two and will be returning there after.

Mum told me that she has started preparing my papers for the company and when her friend arrives here, she will be processing my papers in POEA. What a plan huh?

She also told me that after three years, we can set sail to Canada as per her boss. Yes, might be a better opportunity, but what will happen to me? Almost 21 years of investment here and then everything will be left in a snap.

I need a sign.

HI HUN,
JUST WANNA SHARE SOMETHING TO YOU THIS INDEPENDENCE DAY.
NOTHING BEATS MY INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION.
WELL, I CELEBRATED IT WITH MY BESTEST PALS.

TO START, I HOSTED A DEBUT AT KAMAYAN IN ORTIGAS.
(CATH’S CUZ, KATH CELEBRATED HER 18TH THERE)

(L-R: CATH, MY SUPER FRIEND; GRACE, THE DEBUTANTE’S SIS; KATH, THE DEBUTANTE; AND MOI, THE HOST)

AFTER THE EVENT, AROUND TEN, CATH AND I WENT TO METRO BAR IN WEST AVE, QC TO MEET MY HIGHSCHOOL BUDS AND MY BESTFRIEND LAIZA TO WATCH VICE GANDA AND TO UNWIND FROM ALL THE STRESS AT WORK.

VICE GANDA WITH KIRAY MC:

TUKO DOING A HEAD STAND:

AFTER METROBAR, WE DECIDED TO GO TO METROWALK TO HAVE COFFEE.

BUT SINCE SOME OF US DECIDED TO EAT FIRST, CATH AND I JUST WENT HOME TO MAKATI BUT HAD COFFEE AT SEATTLE’S BEST IN GREENBELT FIRST.

AFTER THAT, WE WENT HOME AND WATCHED BOUNTY HUNTER.

UBER FUN DAY.

Hey HUN.

Sorry if i was not able to update you with things lately.

Well, just to cut the long story short, I’ve been through lotsa things this past few days.

I’ll just highlight the last part, which I think tops everything.

I’m opening up my heart again. For the nth time, i know. Well I believe this one’s two years in the making. He’s been there for more than 2 years already but we were not given the chance to talk to each other because of lots of things. NOT UNTIL LAST NIGHT.

I invited him over for a late dinner. I cooked pasta (dunno what to call it. It’s penne, then for the sauce, I combined eggplants with tuna then olive oil and some spices). He brought red wine.

He actually arrived 1.5 hours late from the scheduled time but my cooking is also kinda late so that’s fine. Well, while cooking, he’s just browsing my laptop and we’re talking. I told him we have lots of catching up to do. So we did not wasted time. He opened up his experiences with his last boyfriends. I did the same. Well, it’s hard to top their 1 year six months relationship (let me just keep that story between us two.)

Everything was fine, he actually had some plans that night (he’s going to Malate with friends), but I insisted that he should stay. With all honesty, I really missed him. I dunno what to feel, I was just staring at him the entire time he was talking. I don’t know if he noticed. This should’ve happened two years ago, I thought. Well it’s the past so let’s not linger much on that. I was really plain happy last night. Oh, happy is an understatement. I was overjoyed. Do you know the feeling of being genuinely happy? It’s like you don’t have to be anyone else in front of him? You just act like your normal self, that you don’t need to impress him with anything? Well that’s how I felt last night. Thanks to him.

After the dinner, we decided to open the bottle of red wine he brought only to realize I don’t have any freaking corkscrew. Hahaha. He actually opened the bottle using a scissor. I told him it was an achievement. And he should write that down on his diary. Kidding. We drank the whole bottle. Just the two of us. After that? What will you expect from two half-drunk guys? Lots of goofing around. Hahaha. We cracked-up the corniest jokes. Laughed like there’s no tomorrow. We’re just so happy. Well, I am and I hope he is too. =)

We dozed off around 4am and woke up around 6:30 because he is craving for Jollibee and he needs to go home. Sunday morning has never felt this beautiful. We went to Jollibee-Exportbank. We saw a marathon along Buendia and I invited him to join me on a marathon soon (you know I really wanna join right?). We ate and even had a free ubersized wallet care of the Philippine Star/ Coke. After that, I walked him to the taxi stand and then he was on his way home.

While walking home, I realized we never changed, we were still the same persons we used to be. He’s still emoNemo, i’m still Eros. But one’s things for sure, the moment I saw him that night, my memory brought me back the first time I saw him. Back then, he never knew I had feelings for him.

If there’s one thing in the list of my experience that i should take note of, it’s to expect less. In that way, though you’ll be hurt, it won’t hurt that much. Right now, I’m not expecting anything, but I’m somehow hoping.

Here’s to hoping! CHEERS!

xoxo,
BRIXX

VACATION OR DISASTER?

Posted: January 6, 2010 in JUST ME
Tags: , , , , ,

Well, first, I’ve never been to my Dad’s birthplace and he has never visited the place since 1982. So to cap this year, I decided to go back there and celebrate with relatives on his side. Much to my surprise, the vacation I planned, turns out to be a disaster.

Here’s the story.

PISSED OFF STORY NUMBER 1.
I found out a day before that my camera’s broken. Can’t do anything coz my friends will also be using their cams for the holidays. So to cut the story short, IM STUCK WITH MY CAMERA PHONE. FUN EH? celebrating the holidays in boracay with your phone as camera. exciting.

December 27, 2009.
We went to the port area so we can board the ship that’s gonna bring us to Kalibo. I keep insisting for us to just take a plane so it’ll be easier. My dad said we are gonna bring lotsa stuffs so it’ll be costly for us to check all those baggages on the airport (he has a point). 80% of the stuffs we brought with us are actually for our relatives in Kalibo. So I can’t argue with that. What I did, is since we are gonna take a ship, I demanded to be on a Cabin so there will be more privacy, plus I don’t get to mingle with lots of people. So here is where we actually stayed for roughly 16 hours (2pm to 6am)

Not bad eh? It’s actually kinda cozy inside. So I didn’t ruin the moment for my dad. In fact, I was even amazed by the view I saw in the seascape. Here are some of it.

THE FRONT VIEW OF THE SHIP

THE BEAUTIFUL SUNSET

The wind while travelling (which by the way, you can’t experience in the metro) is really fresh. You can even see flying fishes and some dolphins while on the way. Just dont look at the signs around the ship or you’ll be more sea-sick. Just take a look at this sign for example.

D’YOU THINK THERE’S NOTHING WRONG WITH THE SIGN? THINK AGAIN.

DECEMBER 28, 2009.
After 16 hours of freakin’ travel by sea, we arrived at Kalibo around 6 in the morning. Here’s how the port there looks like.

By the way, did I mention that the name of the ship we boarded (i think i should use BOREDed. haha) was M/V LOVE 1? Ironic as it might be, am boarding a vessel named love 1 yet i have no better half. haha. cheezy eh? Getting back to the story, we arrived on my grandmom’s place around 7:30 am. Then we just look at the compound and then unpack the things. At that very instant, our luggage was 85% less.

DECEMBER 29, 2009

I’m calling this the massacre day. I KILLED TWO JELLYFISH TODAY.

While swimming on the beach near my Lola’s place, I saw something in the water. Knowing that the jellyfish’s tentacles will cause itching, i grabbed the jelly on top and threw it on the seashore. I caught two of them and actually beat them both with a stick until they were really jellied. =) poor things. Here’s a slight view of the beach near my Lola’s place. The call it “BAYBAY”

There’s even a hill in front of the seashore where you can climb up and stay.

NICE eh?

DECEMBER 30, 2009.

BORACAY DAY.

My cousins and I head to Boracay early in the morning.
We meet my cousin who brought us at the Fairview Blue Water and Golf something. Whatever. Then toured at the island. Here are some pics.

AND THAT ACTUALLY SUMS UP THE PART OF THE VACATION WHERE I ENJOYED.
THE REMAINING DAYS WERE ALL MESSED UP.

Besides being bored most of the time, I hate the beach during day time. It’s really hard for me to have a fair skin so I really hate the sun. What I did during the day was to stay at the hammock, listen to my iPod, read some books until I fall to sleep. That’s what I did for the rest of my stay there. (I wont mention the incident with this foreigner-turned-krungkrung that happened on the last few days of our stay there. If you’re interested, just send me a message and I’ll make kuwento).

Honestly, Boracay is really beautiful, with the fine sand, the water sports, the foreigners and all that. But I’m really not a fan of beaches so I really don’t care. I just like staring at the sea during dawn and dusk, my favorite part of the day. By the way, when we returned to Kalibo, we did some parlor games for the kids coz my mom brought balloons and candies and prizes and all. Just for the kids. Turns out that the parlor games the kids played are also for the KIDS AT HEART.

My cousins and I also made a bonfire near the beach for like 3 times.

BY THE WAY, TO KILL TIME I ACTUALLY INVENTED ODD THING TO DO SO YOU WON’T GET BORED. TAKE NOTE OF THIS AS THIS MIGHT HELP YOU IN THE FUTURE.

1. Chase and get chased by peacocks. =)
2. Get a 1.5 liter bottle. Fill it with sand and when the bottle’s full, trow the sand and fill the bottle again. repeat that for like 1 million more times.
3. Get “butetes” and feed them to crabs.
4. grab a a book and head to a tree near the shore.

JANUARY 6, 2010.

It’s time to go home.
Took a 9:30 am flight at the Kalibo airport.
Honestly, i was more excited to get back to Manila than to go and have a vacation in Boracay.
Arrived around 11:30 on my condo and guess what the first thing I did?

I WENT TO GLORIETTA. ATE AT WORLD CHICKEN. ORDERED POTATO SALAD AND PESTO. YUM.

HAIR STYLE MUCH?

I have this album in my laptop that shows how much change I’ve done with my hair.
Just feel like sharing them today coz I just had my haircut last night.
=)

FIRST. HAD MY FIRST HIGHLIGHTS.

This was way taken 1st year college. On my very first apartment. Having color on my hair besides black caught the attention of some of my professors and some of them even suggested to color them black. Eeeerrr. pakialamera much? =)

NEXT. MY CLEAN LOOK.

Am always having this haircut when I feel like being serious with life. Expect that when you see me having this haircut, something really serious is going on with my life.

THE DIRTY LOOK

Yes. If there’s a clean look, there will always be a dirty look. Lol. When you see me on the streets walking with my dirty look, it’e either Im uber depressed or I’m just so lazy to go to my stylist. Eeerrr.

THE DIRTYLOOK WITH SMALL PIGTAILS

Just to be deviant, tried to grow my hair on the back of my head. It grew for like 9 inch long. Then had it cut after. Nadepress nanaman ako kaya pina-cut ko. hahah

THE DIRTYLOOK WITH SMALL PIGTAILS WITH COLOR WITH HIGHLIGHTS (WHAT?)

Some random experiments. My hair kinda looked like corn husks here. Hahaha. After this gruesome look, colored it black again. hahaha

SEMI-MOHAWK LOOK

Nothing much. Some random look that my stylist gave me. Told him to do his/her (hahah. Ryan of Ystilo, dunno if i’ll call him as Ate or Kuya) thing. and then he gave me the semi-mohawk style. Nice eh?

THE ABNORMAL LOOK

This is the result if your stylist is not around but you insisted on having your hair done by other stylist who doesn’t know what you want. Weee. Dont want to have this one again. It’s like a flat-top whit the top not flat at all (Am I even making sense). That is how hideous this haircut is. >:)

THE KIDDO LOOK

Nothing much. Kiddo kiddo kiddo. =) Pa-cute lang.

THE EMO LOOK

Depressed? Lonely? Alone? GO EMO! hahahaha. Just thought of having my “bangs” long enough so I could do the V-Beckham style after. =)

THE NEW LOOK

So I didn’t continue with my supposedly V-Beckham look. My stylist (Ryan) is in Cavite so I tried a new stylist @ FIX G4. Well, he’s kinda good so I’ll ba back there soon. =) How’d you like my new look?
