THE SEDUCTION OF DEATH

Just when I thought life was sprouting out of me, he came.
Caressing me with worldly desire.
Breathing cold gripe through my ears.
He played with me and I gave in.
He kissed me passionately from head to toe,
but thumped my heart the most: it crippled me.
He devoured my entire body until nothing’s left but pain.

I gave in because I knew he’d give me life, but found out later that he brings death.

Now my soul wanders inevitably.
Waiting for life’s sign.
But until he’s done or if he’ll be forever gone,
My soul can be yours for mere fun.
